Diaper Bags!

This month I had a couple of rare custom designs I created for a two very deserving new mommies. I had such a blast making these two bags...both for little girls (excuse my aweful photography...ick...lol). One wanted a soft pink, green shabby chic feel.....the other, polar opposite...lol....a beautiful rich purple and black color scheme...both adorable and classic....I hope you two are enjoying your bags!

Spring Treats in the Shop!

Wow, I realize that, yes, it has been quite some time since I've last posted....with staying behind on my own (with a 6 year old and a 7 month old) while the Hubby set up shop in AZ, and relocating, and getting the kids settled in, and oh, ya.... discovering that I am carrying a 3rd (yes count them....3) rugrat.........Life has been a little hectic.....but oh my goodness, I can not begin to tell you how excited and comforted I am to be back in the sewing room creating again! The shop is stocked with a few new goodies, but much more on the way!

Today, I was just crus'n "Etsy" and thinking...Most people aren't even aware of just how many talented artists there are in their neighborhood. So, I thought I'd let some of my veiwers in on a couple of my favorite local artists:

With the way the enonomy is these days, us artisians are suffering greatly. Buy handmade this Christmas....check your city listings for local craft shows and such. There are so many great little shops both downtown Merced and Atwater....Sensible Interiors (1212 3rd st Atwater, CA) and Tallula Brigitta (608 W Main Merced, CA) just to name few...drop by sometime. Support your local Artists!!!

Here Today....Gone Tommorrow: A new Bag

This is a new bag...one of my favorites...."Chocolate Butterscotch" was her name....I posted her yesterday and she was sold in an hour....I kept telling myself that if she didnt go within a week, I was gonna keep her....It's a bittersweet goodbye for me....my broken heart will mend in time. ...

Ok, Im over it! Time to move on to the next one...

Stocking the Shop up!

Hi all....if you've been visiting my Etsy Shop, you've probably noticed that I've been adding quite a bit...the shop will be stocked and ready for the month of Oct. November and December are seasonal months of festivals and purse parties...needless to say my shop may tend to look sparce during those months. Great time for Christmas shopping! Here's a picture of our little booth...I shared with a gal named Cindy who makes all these cute little nik-naks...and boy is she an incredible crochetist (ok, I made that word up). Quite a few browsers flowed through our spot, but not too many buyers this year. Not too many vendors were thrilled with the outcome...the blame all points to our lame economy these days. Many people have become money conscious and are not spending compulsively anymore, which sadly those are the people that I rely on for income....LOL.
